Poisonous caterpillars the procession spinner
The Balearic Ministry of Environment warns against the poisonous caterpillars, the procession spinner.
The through the air flying hairs of the caterpillar may trigger for humans and animals allergic reactions including severe itches on the skin.
Unfortunately, especially the golf courses of the island with its extensive pine tree population are affected.
The only exception is likely the golf course Son Gual, where are only a few pine trees are present.
The author recommend against the itches as first aid the cream "Adventan" from the pharmacy.
